# Privacy statement Hike.App

This privacy statement applies to the processing of personal data that takes place through the Hike.App app.

The Hike.App is a platform that makes it possible for individuals or organizations (hereinafter: "the organizer") to offer a hike (hereinafter: "the event") and to monitor its progress. The Hike.App platform collects data and offers it to the organizer. The organizer is responsible for further processing the information.


# Controller

The Hike.App platform is managed by R. Heuvel, residing at Lindeboomlaan 46, 6874 BS Wolfheze, and is responsible for processing personal data through the Hike.App app (hereinafter: "the app").


# Processed data

In order to use the app, in addition to the 'Hike code' provided by the organizer, a name is also requested. This can be your own name, but also a team name and does not have to be traceable to the user. This is the only user-entered data required to use the app.

When using the app, the following data is also collected.
- Coarse geolocation data
- Accurate geolocation data

The geolocation data is only collected when, by pressing a button, the current location is checked. The data is NOT collected automatically or when the app is running in the background.


# Purposes

The collected geolocation data, together with the user information, is sent to the server. There it is checked whether the user is located at or near one of the stations specified by the organizer. In addition, the sent locations are kept so that they can be retrieved later by the organizer, for purposes such as, for example, scoring or to share them with the users.


# Retention period

The collected data will be kept for 6 months after the event has ended. The organizer (typically the one who provided the 'Hike code') can provide more information about the duration of the event.


# Security

Security of the collected data is taken very seriously. Appropriate measures are therefore taken to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. Access to the data, however, remains dependent on the secrecy of the organizer's login credentials, which must be properly secured.


# Receiver

The collected data is only shared with the organizer, who has full access to the collected data and can export it for later use. The organizer is responsible for further processing, securing and timely removal of the collected data.


# Your rights

Under the conditions set by applicable law, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data and to withdraw your consent to the data processing of your personal data. You can also request the restriction of the processing of your personal data, the transfer of your personal data and you can object to the processing of your personal data. If you have any questions about protecting your privacy, please contact the platform administrator at hikeapp.t7l@gmail.com or the event organizer. Finally, you have the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. By using the app you consent to the collection and processing of the above mentioned personal data.
